COOLING IN CONCRETE POWER PLANTS

Throughout the world, temperature-controlled concretes are used in the construction of big size sets and for filling the foundations of high buildings. The heat that is replaced by water during the procedures causes a rise in the volume of the concrete by increasing it to 25C. However, after these procedures, the temperature of the concrete lowers down and the volume shrinks. The above-mentioned process usually causes formation of cracks in the sets, and therefore, the initial temperature at the time of filling of the concrete must be low enough in order that the highest temperature reached during the procedures does not exceed the value determined by design units.

Addition of ice sheets is the most efficient cooling method. Each sheet of 10kgs reduces the temperature of the concrete to approximately 1,2C and 1,4C. These ices are produces by sheet ice machines.

Termodizayn has met the needs of some of the biggest ice facilities of the world for concrete cooling projects.
